Most Novgorod ninth-graders chose computer science and "society" for the OGE

Today, Novgorod ninth-graders passed the OGE in four subjects – this year, Tuesday, May 26, is designated in the exam calendar as the day of the main state exam in subjects of their choice. As reported by the Ministry of Education of the Novgorod Region, the students’ final knowledge in biology, computer science, social science and chemistry was assessed.
“132 ninth-graders registered for biology, 1,069 for computer science, 1,554 for social studies, and 254 for chemistry,” the Ministry of Education reported, citing figures.
The exams themselves were held in 39 locations. 2 and a half hours were allocated for computer science, and up to 3 hours for other subjects.
Let us recall that the main period of the OGE started on May 21 and will last until July 2. Reserve days are provided for those who, for one reason or another, will not be able to pass the exams during the main period. To receive a certificate, ninth-graders must successfully pass exams in Russian, mathematics and two subjects of their choice.
This academic year, the most popular subjects among the kids were social studies, geography and computer science. Already on Thursday, May 29, graduates will demonstrate their knowledge of geography, history, physics and chemistry.
